The details for the event will be released soon as we're currently working on it.
This event is run by a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers.
TEDxBrampton will dive deeply into one subject area. There will be over 100+ curious attendees, each of which are invited to interact with the speakers and with their fellow guests to discuss the ideas presented, ask questions and explore the theme from different viewpoints. It will be an entire day full of ideas worth sharing that will help create a deeper connection within the TEDxBrampton community.
The key difference between TED and TEDx events are that the former takes more of a global approach while the latter typically focuses on a local community that concentrates on local voices. TED is a world-renowned organization built around the mantra “ideas worth spreading”. Using a mixture of live speakers and events, the conference has attracted celebrated figures from across all disciplines to speak to audiences on just about anything. TED launched the TEDx program to help individuals, schools, and organizations create and host their own local, TED-style events that use a mix of TED videos and live speakers - and in doing so, release TED free to the world. The TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
